: Dallas dining options
A co-worker reccomended this place for dinner:
Texas de Brazil
Very good, she says, excellent dining experience. A bit pricey.
What the hell, I say.
The Cedar Springs Dr location is a 6 minute drive from Hilton Anatole
From a review I found online:
"I didn't realize that you eat at the salad bar and THEN the meat comes out. So I filled my plate to the brim with salad bar goodies and dug in ... wondering where in the heck the meat was at. I saw waiters carving meat at tables all around us, but none were stopping at our table. So I asked my friends and they explained the process to me. You eat your salad bar items first and a waiter clears your plate and brings you a clean plate. Then you take a little round disc with a red side and a green side, and turn it to the green side. This signals the "meat bearers" that you are ready for your meat journey to begin.
Let me back up and tell you about this salad bar. It was HUGE! There were at least 15 varieties of exotic and imported cheese and breads along with several kinds of olives, grilled mushrooms, asparagus, artichoke, shrimp, salami, sweet onions, black beans, rice, spicy sushi, and soups. My favorites were the beans and rice and sautéed mushrooms.
The meat servers bring their skewers to your table and slice off a slab of meat, and you pick it off the skewer with a pair of tiny tongs. They keep bringing meat as long as your disc is turned to the green side. If you turn it to the red side, that signals them that you are taking a rest and don't want anymore meat at the moment.
The total bill divided out to about $30.00 per person." (and they don't allow take-home of leftovers *pouts*).
This sounds like a great (if splurgy) meet-up option - maybe Thursday or Friday night?
